Shortfilms based on a famous poker story
A light project I wanted to carry out as a way to keep learning within the world of filmmaking, experimenting with concepts and gaining directing experience. A story that brings to life the famous poker legend known as the “Dead Man’s Hand.”
A simple project that didn’t gain wide exposure, as it was quickly released on YouTube and distributed through the 7.7 Studio channel, without going through festivals or other platforms.
Inspired by the legend of Wild Bill Hickok and his death during a poker game, holding the infamous “Dead Man’s Hand.” The combination of Ace, Eight, Ace, Eight has since become one of the most iconic hands in the history of this thrilling card game.
